Mel took these today, Wednesday 2nd February, while playing with Rox in our snow covered front yard. We have had our biggest snowfall for the winter over the last 24 hours. Maybe a foot of fresh white fluffy snow has been nicely laid everywhere and Roxy couldn't wait to get outside and play amongst it. Mel was throwing her a tennis ball which would bury itself deep down in the snow and she would love trying to dig it up. As you can tell from the pictures we both laughed when she would come up to with snow all over her face. It was quite strange though the way the media built up this snowstorm as being a catastrophic, once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing. We have been getting warnings for days about this storm and how much it will affect everyone. Mel and I had been preparing for the worst and when all we got was a nice big blanket of snow to play in, we felt robbed. But in hindsight we actually thanked our blessings that it was something so harmless and pleasurable for us foreigners, it made me think of how easy we are having it over here at the moment compared to all of the Aussies back home in Queensland and Victoria that have been hit by these devastating floods and now the catastrophic cyclone. We are praying for you all and hope that you are safe and healthy, and hope you are able to have a laugh at these photos to brighten your day.
